Arguably the most recognized pastry to come out of Sweden is the cinnamon bun (kanelbulle). Unlike the traditional American cinnamon roll, the Swedish cinnamon bun does not consist of icing or frosting but instead of crunchy sugar pearls, and also has a more distinct cinnamon flavor.
