Our Story
Founders Alfred and Maddy met in 2021 while attending the University of Florida. Alfred, a native of Sweden, introduced Maddy to Scandinavian pastries- and she was hooked from the first bite. Together, they set out on a journey to master the art of Scandinavian baking, refining recipes and choosing only the finest ingredients to bring authentic taste and quality to every creation.
Our Dream
What began as a shared passion turned into a relentless pursuit of excellence. Affi and Maddy dedicated years to refining their recipes, recreating the flavors of Scandinavia in their own kitchen. As they baked for family and friends, a dream took shape—the dream to bring these beloved Scandinavian treats to their community and beyond.
Our Vision
That dream became Svea, named after the Old Norse word for "Sweden"—a tribute to the rich heritage and traditions of Scandinavia and a celebration of the regions’ flavors, craftsmanship, and culture. Affi and Maddy are dedicated to preserving the authenticity and quality that make their products truly unique.
