SVEA is looking for a warm, energetic, and dependable Front of House Team Member to help create a welcoming Scandinavian café experience from our food truck.
This role is primarily focused on customer service and smooth day-to-day truck operations. You will help take orders, process payments, package pastries and baked goods, hand out customer orders, and keep the truck clean, stocked, and organized throughout service.
You may help with:
Taking customer orders and processing payments through our POS system
Bagging and boxing pastries, baked goods, and other menu items
Handing out orders and creating a friendly, welcoming customer experience
Helping customers learn more about our menu, pastries, and Scandinavian food culture
Assisting with opening, setup, breakdown, and end-of-day closing protocols
Keeping the truck clean, stocked, and organized during service
Helping with dishes and light cleaning as needed
Occasionally assisting with sandwich assembly and other simple food prep
Learning to make coffee, refreshers, and other drinks over time, if interested
This is a great fit for someone who is positive, outgoing, service-minded, dependable, and excited about food, coffee, hospitality, and Scandinavian culture. Café, restaurant, food truck, barista, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. A great attitude, strong communication skills, reliability, and willingness to learn matter most.
SVEA is a small but growing business, so this role is best for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced food truck environment and is open to wearing different hats as needed. There is a lot of opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of the early stages of a Scandinavian food and beverage company.
Pay: $16/hour + pooled tips, with opportunities for raises as you grow with SVEA.
Schedule: Part-time and flexible. Hours may vary based on our truck schedule, pop-ups, and events. Weekend availability is a plus.
Location: Team members report to wherever the SVEA truck is operating that day, typically around Central Florida. Applicants must be able to transport themselves to truck locations. A driver’s license is preferred, but this role does not involve driving the food truck.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be comfortable working in a small, fast-paced food truck environment
Must be friendly, communicative, and comfortable interacting with customers
Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to follow opening, service, and closing protocols
Must be willing to help with light cleaning, restocking, setup, and breakdown
Food handler training is required, but we can help the right candidate complete it
Resume is optional but encouraged
